INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATIONS AT GURU NANAK COLLEGE(AUTONOMOUS)

    Women Students Forum of Guru Nanak College(Autonomous), Velachery, Chennai celebrated International Women’s Day “Guru Shakti” on 6th and 7th March 2020. The theme of the celebration was Entrepreneurship and Women Empowerment. The eminent guests were Ms. Apsara Reddy, National General Secretary, All India Mahila Congress, Ms. Nanditha Pandey, Founder & Director, Strata Vision Pvt. Ltd., Dr. Latha A. Krishna, Founder & CEO, IRIS GLAM & IRIS EVENTS, Dr. Prasanna Sivanandam, Prof. & Dean, Saveetha School of Management, Ms. Harleen Kaur Nayar, Partner, Southern Motorcycles. Ms. Divya Swapna Raj , Founder, Women League Foundation partnered for this event. A group of speakers highlighted on the various avenues for startups and how to become entrepreneurs. Around 800 women comprising of various background which included homemakers, business women, budding entrepreneurs, women students participated and benefitted from this two day event. Women students of the college had hands on training in entrepreneurship by having stalls displaying various food and household items.
