VELAMMAL STUDENT EXCELS IN CHESS
Master Harshavardhan G B, a student of class 11 in Velammal Main School, Mogappair campus won the first place by securing 7.5 points out of 9 rounds in the 48th Tamil Nadu State Junior U-19 Chess Championship 2019 organized by Tirupur District Chess Association and Vivekananda Vidyalaya held at Vivekananda Mat. Hr. Sec. School, Muthoor, Tirupur, recently. Around 200 participants across the state took part in this tournament. The management was elated at the success of his achievement.
